Our dedicated, experienced team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and care coordinators  will work with you and your child to meet their unique healthcare needs and to deliver the care they deserve, including routine check ups, developmental screenings, immunizations, urgent care, and dental care. Our Pediatric Programs

Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is proud to provide the following pediatric programs to families in the Greater New Haven area:

Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC). Are you a mom-to-be or a mom with children under five? Then our Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program might be for you. WIC is a free nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education and breastfeeding support to families who qualify.  To enroll in the WIC program, you must be income eligible and have a nutritional or medical risk. WIC also refers clients to other programs as needed, such as HUSKY, the state’s health insurance program for children, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and the Connecticut Department of Social Services. WIC services are offered at our 428 Columbus Ave, New Haven and 410 Campbell Ave, West Haven locations.

In addition to our WIC program, Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center offers a wide array of pediatric services focusing on both the physical and mental well-being of your child. This includes but is not limited to: 

Our Child and Family Guidance Clinic provides specialized behavioral health services to pediatric patients, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for their mental and emotional development. These services are conveniently located at 400 Columbus Avenue and 226 Dixwell Avenue in New Haven, close to our primary care facilities.

Recognizing the fundamental importance of dental health in a child's comprehensive development, our center provides extensive pediatric dental services. Our dental care program is thoughtfully designed to cater to the distinct needs of young patients, from their earliest years into adolescence. We deliver a spectrum of pediatric dental services, encompassing preventative measures and solutions for prevalent dental issues among children. Our devoted team of pediatric dental experts is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and gentle atmosphere, setting the stage for enduring oral health and bright, confident smiles.

    Anyone and everyone. No matter who you are, you can seek help for your healthcare needs with us.

  • How do I make an appointment?

  • Is Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center a free clinic?

    No, we are not a free clinic. We provide healthcare services for a fee. However, because we are a Federally Qualified Health Center, we are able to offer reduced rates to people without insurance as long as they qualify based on income and family size.

  • How much do your services cost?

    Costs will vary based on your specific situation. We accept all insurance including Medicare, Medicaid (Title 19), HUSKY, Charter Oak, and most commercial insurance plans. For anyone without health insurance, we offer services on a sliding-fee scale, which means you pay only what you can. We also can provide assistance with access to State support and services.

  • How can I give feedback about my experience here?

    You may fill out a comment card located in the reception area or right on this website each service can be rated.

  • How can I obtain my medical records?

    Release of information requests are processed by Ramona Fain and Francheska Cantey. Francheska handles all patients that falls between A-M and Ramona N-Z. Ramona can be reached at 203-503-3140 and Francheska at 203-503-3236.

  • How can I know if the center is delayed or closed due to severe weather?
