CSHHC "A Community of Caring"
Many Ways To Give

Clark Woodruff

Clark Woodruff joined the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center leadership team in 2009, filling the key role of Information Technology (IT) Director. In that role, Clark is accountable for directing the information and data integrity for the health center and for all IT functions. This includes the data center, technical services, help desk, communication networks (voice and data), and computer program development. In 2014, Clark was promoted to Chief of Information Technology. In this expanded role, Clark now has additional duties that include data mining, which will allow us to improve care quality and the health of the people we serve. Prior to joining the health center, Clark spent 12 years at Health Net, serving first as the company’s IT Support Supervisor and later as the Technical Support Manager. In total, Clark has more than 24 years of IT and management experience, including expertise in:

  • Multi-project management.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • System and application development, implementation and conversions.
  • Budget management.
  • Project planning and implementation.
  • Team development and training.

Clark’s extensive skills and experience have had a significant, positive impact on the health center. Clark developed, implemented and managed a complete overhaul of the center’s computer technologies, bringing in the latest and most efficient systems to significantly improve connections and expedite the transfer of medical information. Most importantly, though, the IT overhaul has improved patient service by facilitating more efficient care and better communication. The major IT overhaul also laid the groundwork for our Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, which Clark also managed. Thanks to Clark’s efforts, the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center became one of the first Federally Qualified Health Centers in the country to have an integrated EHR, encompassing internal medicine, dental and behavioral health. When Clark is not at work, he’ll most likely be outside, either teeing off at one of his favorite golf courses or putting his landscaping skills to work. Prior to pursuing a career in IT, Clark spent several years as a professional landscaper and still enjoys pruning and planting. Clark received his B.S. degree in business management from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut, and his M.B.A. with a concentration in computer and information science from the University of New Haven.
