Cornell Scott 55th Anniversary

Celebrating 55 Years of Health Equity in Action

It was a marvelous evening on September 21, 2023, as Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center celebrated 55 Years of Health Equity in Action with an invigorating evening at the New Haven Lawn Club. The sold-out gathering of people from throughout our communities saluted the dedication of outstanding community leaders, and came together to share a heartfelt appreciation of the impact of Cornell Scott-Health Center throughout our communities, with special thanks to an extraordinary staff deeply committed to the health of our patients.

Our nationally recognized integrated healthcare model, now reaching more than 55,000 patients annually in the Greater New Haven and the Valley communities, is ranked among the top 3% of community health centers in the United States. It all began in 1968 with the founding of the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, Connecticut’s first community healthcare center.

Thank you to everyone that played a role in a very special evening – sponsors, donors, supporters and volunteers – and congratulations again to our honorees: William W. Ginsberg, State Rep. Toni Walker, Cynthia Sparer, Dr. Ece Tek, and the Hill Parents’ Association.

Our work continues - energized by the genuine camaraderie and enthusiastic support that characterized a joyful 55th anniversary celebration – because the need for quality health care for all residents in our communities continues.
