About Us
Welcome to Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center
Celebrating More Than 55 Years of Health Equity In Action
In 1968, members of the New Haven community (Hill Parents Association) and Mr. Cornell Scott, partnered with the Yale School of Medicine to establish Connecticut’s first Federally Qualified Community Health Center—Hill Health Center. In the decades since welcoming our first patient, the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, as we are now known, has been providing comprehensive, compassionate care to communities throughout Greater New Haven. Along the way, we have opened new practice sites and expanded our services in order to meet the needs of the people we serve.
Today, the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is proud to stand as a national leader in community healthcare, offering state-of-the-art and integrated care at over twenty care sites throughout New Haven County. We serve more than 55,000 patients each year and work hard every day to continue the important work that Mr. Scott started, keeping close at mind his advocacy for community healthcare and his passion to meet the healthcare needs of the under-served.
