Are you or someone you know struggling with alcohol or substance use? We are here to help! We offer comprehensive treatment at a number of convenient locations. Services include:

Inpatient Withdrawal Management (Detox)

Methadone Maintenance (New Haven and Ansonia)

MAT: Suboxone® (Buprenorphine treatment) and Vivitrol (New Haven, Ansonia, West Haven)

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), (West Haven)

Outpatient Substance and Mental Health Care (West Haven, Ansonia and New Haven)

Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management (West Haven, Ansonia, and New Haven)

Additional treatments include AcuDetox, recovery yoga, recovery coach and referrals to recovery supports, overdose prevention, and Narcan training and case management.

Inpatient Withdrawal Management (Detox)

If you are ready to stop using drugs or alcohol, we are here to help you through the process. Our 26-bed, coed, inpatient detox facility, located at 232 Cedar Street in New Haven, provides the full-time medical care that you need to break your physical dependence on alcohol and/or drugs. Our caring staff is specially trained to help you through every step of this process and to keep you safe. The average inpatient detox stay is 5 days, after which we will connect you to the recovery services you need.

Methadone Maintenance

We offer a number of Medication assisted treatments including methadone, Suboxone (Buprenorphone) and Vivtrol. Services are offered at both our New Haven and Ansonia campus.

Suboxone® (Buprenorphine treatment) and Vivitrol

We offer Suboxone (buphrenorphine treatment) as well as Vivitrol at our New Haven, Ansonia and West Haven campus through enrolment in our substance and behavioral health services.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

We offer Partial hospitalization Program (PHP) , intensive outpatient (IOP) day treatment for adults with substance use issues. PHP and IOP is currently offered at our West Haven facility. We also offer individual therapy and medication evaluation and management.

Outpatient Substance and Mental Health Treatment

Individual and group therapy is offered including medication evaluation and management services including case management and recovery support.

  • Is Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center a free clinic?

    No, we are not a free clinic. We provide healthcare services for a fee. However, because we are a Federally Qualified Health Center, we are able to offer reduced rates to people without insurance as long as they qualify based on income and family size.

  • How much do your services cost?

    Costs will vary based on your specific situation. We accept all insurance including Medicare, Medicaid (Title 19), HUSKY, Charter Oak and most commercial insurance plans. For anyone without health insurance we offer services on a sliding-fee scale, which means you pay only what you can. We also can provide assistance with access to State support and services.

  • How can I give feedback about my experience here?

  • How can I obtain my medical records?

    Release of information requests are processed by Ramona Fain and Francheska Cantey. Francheska handles all patients that falls between A-M and Ramona N-Z. Ramona can be reached at 203-503-3140 and Francheska at 203-503-3236.

  • How can I know if the center is delayed or closed due to severe weather?
