New Haven, CT, February 9, 2026 — Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center (CS-HHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors.
Each of our newly appointed board members bring a diverse range of expertise and perspectives and their collective experience will serve to strengthen our ability to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for the evolving needs of our communities.
Our new board members include:

Emily Byrne, M.P.A., Executive Director of Connecticut Voices for Children
Emily is the Executive Director of Connecticut Voices for Children, a research and advocacy organization with a strategic aim toward economic justice. She has extensive experience in policy and program development and has led and contributed to work that has been recognized by past White House administrations and featured in numerous publications. In addition to being the founding Executive Director of New Haven Promise, Emily has held various governmental leadership positions.

Jose Candelario, Broadcast Television Director, On-Air Host, and Content Producer
Jose is an award-winning media professional with more than 15 years of experience in broadcast television, radio, and multimedia production. A New Haven native, Jose has worked at CTV, News 8, and 6abc, developing a reputation for creating impactful, community-centered content. He currently serves as producer and host of The Evening Jam and Late Night Rhythms on 94.3 WYBC and The Electric Drum, one of Connecticut’s longest running, most impactful public affairs programs.

Chris Hodgdon, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Accounting at Quinnipiac University
Chris is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Quinnipiac University who teaches managerial, financial, governmental, and not-for-profit accounting with over 20 years of experience in accounting higher education. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Colorado, an M.S. in accounting from The American University, and a Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. A CPA licensed in Virginia, Chris worked as a Tax Analyst for MCI Telecommunications prior to entering academia.
The addition of these new members reflects CS-HHC’s ongoing commitment to strong governance and community representation.
